Project Description
I developed this project in my Graphic Design 3 course, when we were tasked with visually representing emotions over time. I applied this concept to music, and redesigned covers for four of my favorite albums using both modern and retro design techniques.
Programs Used
The main goal of this project was to create a visual solution to represent emotions over time. I also set a goal for myself to create design solutions that combined the style of the music with modern album cover designs.
While most of the albums I redesigned are from the 60’s and 70’s, I wanted the designs to appeal to a younger audience.
The initial timeframe of this project was two weeks. In that time, I developed the cover art for all four albums. Later in the semester I expanded the project to include the inner sleeve and record label sticker.
The deliverables are the four album covers, inner sleeves, and label stickers. I also included custom colored vinyl to complement the package design.
